Dr. Sam Dawson serves as Professor of Systematic Theology at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in Cinema from Bob Jones University before founding a marketing communications firm in the Detroit area.
While serving at Inter-City Baptist Church, Dr. Dawson completed an M.Div. and Th.M. at DBTS, followed by a Ph.D. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He later joined the DBTS faculty. In addition to his seminary teaching, he remains active in local church leadership and has taught at conferences and ministry events internationally.
Dr. Dawson and his wife, Carolyn, have two married adult children.
